LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Frank J. “Jim” Trout was born on October 14, 1942, and came to rest on Sept. 2, 2015.

Jim was born and raised in Portland, Ore., and spent many years in the San Francisco Bay Area before moving to Lake County in 1997. 

Among his many hobbies and talents, Jim loved building and riding motorcycles and playing guitar.

Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Jo; his parents, Frank and Donna Trout; and several life-long friends. 

He leaves behind his children, Jason, Jesse and Shannon; his grandchildren, Zachary and Nolan; friends and extended family.

Arrangements under the care of Jones & Lewis Clear Lake Memorial Chapel, Lower Lake.

CLEARLAKE OAKS, Calif. – Betty Jeanne Rasmussen was born May 25, 1926, and died Aug. 7, 2015, in Clearlake Oaks.

Betty Jeanne left behind two loving sons, Leroy and David, as well as two grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Shirley Ann Peters was born in Blythe, Calif., in 1937.

She married Gerald L. Peters, son of Pete and Jessie Peters in Tarzana, Calif.

Shirley and Gerald moved to Kelseyville in 1959 from the Los Angeles area. Shirley relocated in Lakeport after Gerald's passing in 2004 to spend the remainder of her days closer to family and friends.

Much thanks to friends, “helping angels” (new friends) and Edelweiss Guest Home in Lakeport for making the last years of Shirley's life special.

She left peacefully the morning of Sept. 9, 2015.

Shirley is survived by her two sons, Gary and Mike; three biological grandchildren; and two biological great-grandchildren.

A memorial gathering will be held at Kelseyville Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – John G. Case passed away Sept. 4, 2015, after suffering a stroke.

He was born 73 years ago in South Bend, Indiana. 

In 1957, the Case family joined the exodus to California and relocated to the Bay Area. John graduated from Pleasant High School and San Francisco State. He served in the U.S. Army.

John was employed by hardware and paint stores in the Bay Area for many years. 

As a young man, he purchased several acres in Lower Lake and began building his home in the late 1970s.

John eventually retired to his home among the oak and pine trees and lived a quiet life. He enjoyed caring for his land, reading American history and visits from family.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Olive Violette and William C. Case; brothers, Robert, Thomas and William Case; sister, Susan Stalder Fivekiller.

He is survived by sister, Mary Eichar, and numerous nieces and nephews. John was never married.

The family is grateful for the thoughtful care provided by Evergreen Lakeport Healthcare Center.  

There will be no services.

Mildred Lorine Paarsch

Born Aug. 3, 1926, in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and entered into eternal rest Sept. 6, 2015.

Predeceased by her husband, Erich; parents, Ottis and Carra Gutherie; siblings, Charlie, Mack and Florine Wells; daughter, Chrissy Sage; and grandson, Jason Virden.

Survived by her children, Erich (Mary), Charlotte (Steve) McGuire and Cory (Dan) Jenkins; numerous grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

CLEARLAKE, Calif. – Wilfried Mack Ziegler, age 66, entered into rest in Clearlake on Monday Aug. 31, 2015.

Funeral services are pending at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
