John G. Case

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – John G. Case passed away Sept. 4, 2015, after suffering a stroke.

He was born 73 years ago in South Bend, Indiana.

In 1957, the Case family joined the exodus to California and relocated to the Bay Area. John graduated from Pleasant High School and San Francisco State. He served in the U.S. Army.

John was employed by hardware and paint stores in the Bay Area for many years.

As a young man, he purchased several acres in Lower Lake and began building his home in the late 1970s.

John eventually retired to his home among the oak and pine trees and lived a quiet life. He enjoyed caring for his land, reading American history and visits from family.

John was preceded in death by his parents, Olive Violette and William C. Case; brothers, Robert, Thomas and William Case; sister, Susan Stalder Fivekiller.

He is survived by sister, Mary Eichar, and numerous nieces and nephews. John was never married.

The family is grateful for the thoughtful care provided by Evergreen Lakeport Healthcare Center.

There will be no services.

Arrangements by Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary (FD1336).
