His many nieces and nephews will remember the fun-loving uncle he was to each of them and a great spiritual leader as well.

His Christian family will always remember his words of wisdom and his great love of Christ our Lord and Savior.

Jerry graduated school in 1960 from Covelo High School. After marrying the love of his live and working many different jobs including logging, trucking and millwork; Jerry found his calling in life as a minister of God’s word. He went on to study theology and psychology at Bethany Bible College in Scotts Valley, Calif., as well as, Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz, Calif.

He was assistant pastor at his first church in Salinas, senior pastor at Whitehorn, where he was a missionary in his own country. He was able to combine two of his greatest loves, after he was invited to be a board member of the “Trucking for Jesus” organization.

From Whitehorn Assembly of God, he pastored the Church in the Wildwood in Forbestown, Calif. Later he moved the family to Santa Rosa at Calvary Assembly of God, where he ministered for the next five years.

God called Jerry to move to Idaho where he would pastor Council Assembly of God. This would be Jerry’s last church.

When he returned to California, he felt a new calling from Christ, which was a car salesman for Hansel Ford in Santa Rosa. It was here that he would jog up to 10 miles per day but found out that he had a bad heart and would have a major heart attack at work. This would end Jerry’s working career, although he never gave up sharing God’s word with anyone who would lend an ear.
