LAKEPORT, Calif. – Lakeport resident Rosa Schetter died unexpectedly on Feb. 18, 2018. She was born on July 6, 1943, to Stefano and Maria Fanizza in Mola di Bari, Italy.

She is survived by her husband, Mervin Schetter; daughter, Maria Schetter of Lakeport; son, Dino Rescina and wife Kari Rescina of Willits; grandsons, Nicholas Rescina, Isaac Hassberg and Mason Rescina; brother, Vito Fanizza of Murrieta, Calif.; sister, Toni McCalpin of San Clemente, Calif.; and numerous nephews, great-nephews, great-nieces, cousins and family friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Marco Fanizza, and granddaughter, Francesca Schetter.

Rosa enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, her family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary on Friday, March 2, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Funeral service will be following at St. Mary Immaculate Catholic Church in Lakeport at noon.
