CLEARLAKE, Calif. – One person was transported to an out-of-county hospital after reportedly being shot on Saturday night.
At around 11 p.m. Lake County Fire Protection District firefighters were dispatched to the 3000 block of Sixth Street in Clearlake on the report of an assault victim.
Firefighters arriving at the scene reported finding a gunshot wound victim, according to radio reports.
An air ambulance was requested to land at Ray's Food Place on Dam Road, based on scanner reports, but then was diverted to land instead at Austin Park, closer to where the male shooting victim was located.
At about 11:40 p.m. REACH 6 lifted off for UC Davis Medical Center, according to reports from the scene.
