Sgt. Rodd Joseph of the Clearlake Police Department reported that officers and detectives were dispatched to a report of a stabbing victim located at a residence in the 16100 block of 28th Avenue at about 12:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Joseph said officers arrived within a few minutes of the call and located two stabbing victims inside the home.
The victims were identified as 30-year-old Robert Bradley and 23-year-old Carol Wallerman, both of Clearlake, Joseph said.
Medical personnel arrived and began tending to the two victims, and Joseph said officers began interviews with the victims while they were being medically treated.
Though the victims are not fully cooperating with the investigation, Joseph said officers learned that the assault occurred at a residence in the 15800 block of 28th Avenue.
Both Bradley and Wallerman were transported by ambulance to St. Helena Hospital Clearlake, Joseph said.
While Bradley's injuries are not considered life threatening, Joseph said Wallerman later was flown to an out-of-county trauma center. Her condition was not known early Tuesday evening.
Officers located the crime scene and obtained evidence supporting the assault, and Joseph said the case remains under investigation.
Anyone with information about this assault is asked to contact Detectives Tim Alvarado or Ryan Peterson at 707-994-8251. Callers may remain anonymous.
