He was home with his wife of 53 years, Karen, and other family members. Jim was 72 years old.

Jim worked for the county road department for over 40 years. He made hundreds of friends and those friends became family. He was the County Road Department Superintendent for 20 of those years.

He loved to go hunting with his friends. You all know who you are because he hunted with you.

Jim was a member of the Lake County Horseman Association, he loved to go riding. Jim also owned Jim's Complete Tree Service for any years.

Jim loved his family and his grandkids. They all called him Papa. He loved going to their sporting events, horseback riding and hunting with them.

NORTHERN CALIFORNIA – Christopher Matthew Corollo passed away Sept. 6, 2014.

Chris was born on April 13, 1967, the ninth child of Joseph and Patricia Corollo of San Mateo, Calif.

Chris graduated from Aragon High School and was a plumber. He is survived by his nine brothers and sisters: Diane, Frank (Sherry), Mark, Natalie (Art), Eileen (Bruce), Joe (Juli), Dave (Alice), Anne (Chuck) and Angela (Mike); and his beloved cat, Ahi.

The children who very fortunate to call him Uncle Chris were Shelly (Dustin), Carrie (Mike), Chad, Kelley, Patrick, David, Bobby, Ryan, Jesse, Sam, Johnny and Tanner.

Uncle Chris also enjoyed the love and attention of great-nephews Dustin Jr., Dylan, Derek and Jackson, and great-niece Dana.

Uncle Chris was a constant source of entertainment to them, with crazy antics, hilarious behavior and outrageous stories. He loved making them laugh and seeing them happy.

Chris was a very loving, kind and generous man.  He was a devoted son, brother and genuine friend.

Uncle Chris brought worlds of wonder to his nieces and nephews. When describing the male equivalent of Auntie Mame it would be appropriate to refer to him as “an Uncle Chris.”

A celebration of Chris' life is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 27, at the Italian American Social Club of San Francisco, 25 Russia Ave.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – On Sept. 7, 2014, Marion passed away peacefully with family at her side.

She is survived by her husband, Les; daughter, Trish; sister, Carolyn Johnson; grandchildren, Nicole Givens, Amber Hughes, Kristen King and Jacob Givens; nieces, Sandi Ford and Jolynn Johnson; and nephew, Kaleb Daw.

She will be missed by many.

It was Marion’s wish to print this poem in her obituary.

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set on me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room,
Why cry for a sole set free,
Miss me a Little – But not too long,
And not with your head bowed low,
Remember the love we shared,
Miss me – But let me go,
For this is a journey that we all must take,
And each must go it alone.
It’s all a part of the Master’s plan,
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart,
Go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds,
Miss me – But let me Go.

There will be a barbecue at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20, at her home for family and friends to celebrate Marion’s life. For more information email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .
