He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 50 years, Patricia Thompson.

Bob was born Feb. 18, 1928, in San Francisco and raised in Oroville.

As a 17-year-old he joined the Navy in 1945, at the end of World War II.

Assigned to the Pacific during the evacuation, he had the unbelievable job of sinking brand new Army Jeeps into the ocean because the War Department did not want to transport them back to the United States and didn't want anyone else to have use of them.

Subsequent to his discharge from the service in 1946 he became an arson investigator for the state of California Department of Forestry.

Being an avid outdoorsman by nature, he flourished in this career and dedicated 30 years to it before turning in his badge.

Not one to stand still in the face of retirement, Bob then started a completely different profession by becoming a California real estate agent. This was another career that spanned decades, 16 years of which he worked in close partnership with longtime friend and fellow agent, Linda Warren.

Upon final retirement, Bob live a leisurely and comfortable life.

Though he is not survived by any relatives, he will truly be missed by good friends, Lucy Goebler, Rena Gracey and Jim Warren.

Per Bob's request there will be no services and interment will be at Kelseyville Cemetery.
