Lakeport Economic Development Advisory Committee to discuss economic development goals
LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lakeport Economic Development Advisory Committee is set to discuss economic development strategic planning and goals this week.
The meeting will take place from 7:30 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, June 8, at Lakeport City Hall, 225 Park St.
Chair Wilda Shock said LEDAC will conclude its ongoing discussion of goals for Lakeport’s economic development strategic planning and set priorities for the city to address in the next five years.
Shock said LEDAC also will receive an update from Lakeport Community Development Director Kevin Ingram on the approach to keeping current the listing of vacant commercial buildings and lands on the city’s Web site and other next steps in the process.
Shock said LEDAC meetings scheduled for the remainder of the year will take place on Aug. 10, Oct. 12 and Dec. 14.
LEDAC advocates for a strong and positive Lakeport business community and acts as a conduit between the city and the community for communicating the goals, activities and progress of Lakeport’s economic and business programs.
Members do not have to be Lakeport residents.
In addition to Shock, the membership includes Vice Chair Christine Hutt, Secretary Rebecca Southwick, and members Bill Eaton, Melissa Fulton, Pam Harpster, Chris King, George Linn, Taira St. John and Panette Talia.
Lakeport City Community Development Director Kevin Ingram and City Manager Margaret Silveira serve as ex-officio committee members.
