News

LAKE COUNTY – Overnight storms – with high winds and heavy precipitation – have resulted in trees down around the county, hitting power, cable and phone lines in some cases and blocking roadways.

LUCERNE - Santa Claus and a group of faithful helpers visited Northshore communities recently, offering holiday greetings and Christmas cheer.

LAKE COUNTY — There has been some good news for community radio recently. As most of you have probably heard, KPFZ was recently awarded a federal matching grant of over $94,000. This eases the financial situation dramatically and brightens the future considerably. KPFZ is now 75 percent of the way home in the money department — with only $45,000 to go before the radio station gets the green light.

LAKE COUNTY - The heavy rains that fell over Lake and Mendocino counties on Thursday tapered off in the late afternoon, ushering in a forecast for more cool weather and intermittent showers through this Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in Sacramento.
