KELSEYVILLE – The Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County will host a special guest minister on Sunday, June 14.

The Reverend Peter Morales is the Senior Minister of the Jefferson Unitarian Church in Golden, Colo. He is also one of two candidates for president of the national Unitarian Universalist denomination.

Elections will be held at the annual UU General Assembly in Salt Lake City at the end of June.

The president of the denomination serves as the chief spokesperson for the Unitarian Universalist Association, and provides leadership and vision for the denomination.

Reverend Morales will speak on "A Religion for Our Time." He will share his ideas for growth of a religion that "believes in the inherent worth and dignity of every person; that seeks justice, equity and compassion; that promotes peace; that respects human diversity."

People wishing to learn more about Unitarian Universalism are invited to attend the service.

The service begins at 10 a.m. at the Kelseyville Senior Center, 5245 Third St., Kelseyville. A children’s religious education program is offered during the service.
