Martin Luther King Jr.’s dreams topic of Jan. 25 Universalist service

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The service this Sunday, Jan. 25, at the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County will focus on Martin Luther King Jr.'s dreams and how they're being kept alive today.

The service begins at 11 a.m. at the church, located at 3810 Main St. in Kelseyville. Guests are welcome.

In honor of the 86th birthday of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., the service – entitled “Still Dreaming” – will look at how Dr. King’s dreams are kept alive by the actions we take in today’s world.

The sermon, written by the Reverend Theresa Novak, will discuss how Unitarian Universalist traditions challenge individuals to take action and live their values.

The sermon will be presented by UUCLC member Kathy Windrem.

Unitarian Universalism has no creed. It affirms the worth of human beings, advocates freedom of belief and the search for advancing truth, and offers a warm, open and supportive community.
