KELSEYVILLE – The Taylor Observatory will host a youth astronomy camp for seventh, eighth and ninth graders in July.
The camp will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, July 21 and Thursday, July 22, and 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. Friday, July 23.
We live on the small planet Earth in the Milky Way Galaxy within a universe made up of billions of stars.
Join instructor Edward Giannelli to explore this universe using Taylor Observatory’s Norton Planetarium's digital star theater to experience stars, planets and constellations.
Participate in activities, know what is up in the night sky, discover what tools astronomers use to measure distance and brightness of stars. They'll also search for extraterrestrial life.
To participate in the camp, please download the registration form or contact the Observatory coordinator.
The cost is $60, which includes materials and a snack.
Registration and payment should be received by July 14. Maximum number of participants is set at 30.
