Carl

We are very close to the end of the school year and that means exciting end of the school year events!

We have a full line up with Ruptured Duck on the Eighteenth of May, prom on the Nineteenth, and of course graduation on the Thirtieth. Ruptured Duck will be held at Highland Springs and will be hosted by Blue Heron.

At Ruptured Duck all the continuation schools play good old-fashioned games.

There’ll be an egg toss, limbo, a three-legged race, softball, and many more!

The Ruptured Duck competition has been around for many years and each year’s winning team gets to keep the trophy for the next year.

When they show up at the competition the next year they are required to add something to the trophy.

As you can imagine the trophy at this point is a sight to behold!

On May fifteenth our art teacher, Patty Jasmine took five students to the local C.S.M. for a field trip to talk to Chris Massingill a mechanic.

We appreciate his support for students that are interested in a future in the automotive business.

In fact, he was so impressed with Chris Fenno’s knowledge he invited him fifth and sixth period to come and learn more. As you all know we had a field trip to Ashland that was spectacular. Bill said, “ This was the most jam-packed time for Ashland. There were three plays, a prologue, and a two-hour workshop with a professional actor. The weather was great and so were the students. They care so much about their family and friends. It’s amazing!” Crystal Black said, “ It was flarious!! Hilarious and fun!”

Thanks for reading!

We would like to thank Verna Rogers and Bill Macdougall for always putting us first and taking their time to make sure we are exposed to such wonderful experiences.
