Upper Lake Elementary students named winners in art contest

UPPER LAKE, Calif. – Two Upper Lake Elementary students in the after school program have been named winners in a countywide art contest.

Rylee Zimmerschied and Kyra Santos won top honors in the Lake County Office of Education’s Children Council Growing Resilient Art Contest and April is Child Abuse Prevention Taco Bell Placemat Art Contest.

The two students received their plaques, awards and art kids in a ceremony with social distancing at the school earlier this month.
