LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Beckie “Rebecca” Albo passed away Feb. 17, 2014.

She was born April 28, 1939 in Gallino, NM, to Elocadio and Manuelita Arellano.

Beckie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Her children will always remember her for the caring, tender and gentle way she loved all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Beckie lost her husband of 54 years on Feb. 7, 2014.

People did not know Jerry without Beckie or Beckie without Jerry. So now they are united together forever in Heaven and will always be Jerry and Beckie.

Beckie is also preceded in death by her parents and her daughter, Debra.

She is survived by her children, Polly Boughan of TX, Gloria Albo of NM, Jerry Albo Jr. of Lakeport, and Michelle Albo of Clearlake Oaks; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Rosary and funeral service will be held at St. Peters Catholic Church, Kelseyville on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m., with a reception to follow.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – Beloved mother, grandmother and “grandma-great” Clara B. Mendes, 91, of Lakeport died peacefully Thursday, Feb. 13.

Clara was born to Frank and Mary Furtado May 21, 1922, in Half Moon Bay, where she grew up and met her husband, Clarence Mendes.

Clara and Clarence married in 1941 and continued to live in Half Moon Bay until retiring to Lakeport in 1979.

Clara was an avid outdoors woman who loved gardening, fishing, and traveling with her husband to Alaska where they enjoyed the great outdoors together. Through her kind and generous spirit she was always helping here friends and relatives.

Clara was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 66 years, Clarence, and by her only grandchild, Cherie Lynn Eckhardt.

Clara is survived by her daughter, Shirley Ann (Wayne) Voigt; grandson-in-law, John Eckhardt; great-grandson, Cole Michael Eckhardt; great-granddaughter, Kaylee Nicole Eckhardt; and adopted daughter, Terri (Dan) Bertrem. She also is survived by an extended family of many nephews and nieces.

Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20, followed by the Rosary at 6 p.m. at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 1625 High St., Lakeport. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday.

Interment to follow at Kelseyville Cemetery.

Barbara Jane (Silva) Alameda
1931-2014

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Barbara was born in the city of Oakland, the seventh child to Joseph Silva and Ella May Lester, in 1931.

In 1981 she graduated from Contra Costa College with a degree in early childhood development and proudly went on to run her own daycare in the city of Pinole where she made her home until retiring to Clearlake in 1990.

Barbara passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 29, 2014, at the age of 82.

She is survived by her four children, Claire, Tammy and husband Ken, Vince and wife Tammy, Gene and wife Cynthia; and her eight grandchildren, DJ, Vince Jr., Rhiannon, Johney, Anthony, Tony, Joseph and Adam.

She will forever be remembered and missed for her strong will and the independent life she so embodied.

A memorial service is being planned for friends and family at the Clearlake Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses, 3931 Pine Ave., on Saturday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m.

Barbara’s wishes were to be interned with family at Mountain View Cemetery in Oakland.

LAKEPORT, Calif. – A celebration of life service for Edith Klier is planned for this Saturday, Feb. 22.

The service will take place beginning at 2 p.m. at the Lakeport Community Seventh-day Adventist Church, 1111 Park Way.

Klier, a longtime Lake County resident, died Jan. 23 at the age of 88.

LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Mary A. Jones of Lakeport died Friday, Feb. 14, 2014, after a short illness, surrounded by her family.

Born April 10, 1947, in Heidelberg, Penn., she was 67.

She was a resident of Lake County for 22 years and a hairdresser for 21 years.

Baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1973, she died faithful to her God, Jehovah.

She enjoyed visits to the ocean, fine dining and being with her family and friends. She loved her grandchildren very much.

Mary is survived by her husband, Tony Jones. Her daughter, Brigette and husband Tom, Schieberl. Her grandchildren: Justin Schieberl, Mark Miller, Christopher and wife Sarah Schieberl, Kolton Miller, Brayden Miller and Jordan Miller.

She was preceded in death by her son, Tommy Miller.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 3606 Ackley Road in Lakeport.

Walter Patti
May 29, 1934-Feb. 1, 2014

Walt was born to Joseph and Rose Patti in Pawcatuck, Connecticut.

He served four years in the United States Navy. After being honorably discharged, he went into law enforcement. He became chief of police for Old Saybrook Connecticut Police Department. He then pursued careers in banking and high tech and consulting.

After settling in Lake County, Calif., Walt served on the parole board for the Lake County Sheriff's Department for years. He also served on the Grand Jury and was an usher and served on the Board of the Parish Council for St. Mary Immaculate.

Walt was a very special man to many people and will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jean Patti; daughter, Linda (David) Birck; stepdaughter, Carleen (Samuel) Gacesa; grandchildren, Courtney (Reagan) Jobe, Caitlin Birck, Chris and Jeff Patti, Denise (Chad) Misovec; and great-grandchildren, Charisma, Jack and Joseph Misovec.

Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at St. Mary Immaculate Church, Lakeport.

The family prefers donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
