Jack Britton Pounds passed away peacefully at home in his sleep on July 18, 2013.

Jack was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Elsie Marie.

He his survived by his two sons, Jack of Lake County, Calif., and Gary of Kelseyville, Calif.

Jack will be remembered for his sense of humor, his love of antique cars and collectibles.

He was born July 11, 1931, in Texas, where he met his one true love, Elsie.

He volunteered his efforts in the Korean War, was seriously wounded, sent home with a Purple Heart and many other ribbons and citations.

In 1951 he married Elsie, had two sons, and settled in Santa Cruz, Calif. He owned a Shell Service Station in Santa Cruz, then added a classic used car lot, then added an antique shop, and then excelled in buying and selling real estate.

Jack and Elsie retired young and early, moved to Lakeport in 1995 where he stayed involved in antiques and real estate. He excelled in everything he did. He was liked and loved by everyone he touched.

His sons, Jack and Gary, would like to thank everyone who helped in the final stages, Dr. Turrill and Ellen and their amazing staff, Hospice and especially Coco.

There will be a memorial for both Jack B. Pounds and Elsie Marie Pounds at their home Sunday, Aug. 18, from noon to 4 p.m. or so.

All who knew and loved them are welcome.

Sharon Nancy Tarpley was born May 12, 1944, in Albany, Calif., and passed on Thursday, July 11, 2013.

Sharon was a longtime Lake County, Calif., resident for more than 50 years.  

She leaves husband Teddy and three children, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was loved by many and will be missed.

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – A celebration of life for Fred Lett, who passed away May 23, 2013, will be held at noon, Saturday, July 27 at the Kelseyville Presbyterian Church, 5340 Third St.

Lee Ann White (12/17/49 – 07/18/13)

Lee Ann White was born to Jim and Betty White on Dec. 17, 1949, in Columbia, MO.

Her family moved to Modesto, Calif., and then San Rafael, Calif., eventually moving to Portland, Ore., for her high school and college years.

She graduated from Sunset High School in 1968 and attended Linfield College for a year before moving back to California, where she always felt most at home. Lee Ann had earned her nursing degree and had worked in hospitals and with in-home patients.

Lee Ann was passionate, honest, generous and devoted. She adored her exotic birds and little Pomeranian, Betty Lou. She gave special gifts to those she loved and never expected anything back.

Lee Ann leaves her father, Jim; sisters Laura and Keren (Portland, Ore.); and brother Bret (Seattle). She also leaves five nieces and nephews. Her mother, Betty, died in 2006.

Lee Ann died on July 18, 2013, in Lakeport, Calif., as a result of a head-on crash caused by another driver.

We are grateful for the rescuers who tried to save her and know that she wasn’t alone as she passed away.

We are indebted to her friends in Hidden Valley Lake, Calif., who were so helpful with taking care of her home, pets and belongings. Special thank you to both Deb and Lena.

Lee Ann’s memorial service will be determined at a later date.

Kim James Lostetter was born Oct. 4, 1954, in New Mexico, and passed away on Monday, July 15, 2013.

He was preceded in death by his brother and father.

A funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Friday, July 26, at St. Mary's Church followed by a graveside service at St. Mary's Cemetery.

Sadie Violet Ruth Stith
1926 – 2013

Sadie passed away peacefully July 14, 2013, at the age of 87 following an eight-year courageous challenge to recover from strokes.

She was born April 30, 1926, in New Mexico to William and Nellie Willbanks. She grew up with nine brothers and sisters who she adored.

Her family settled in Colorado where her brothers introduced her to her sweetheart, Raymond Stith. They were married in Los Angles, Calif., in 1946 and lived there until 1964.

At that time they moved with their children, Jerry and Sue to Lucerne where she resided for 49 years.

While in Lucerne she was very active with Foothill Baptist Church and Lakeshore Baptist Church where she was a charter member. Her great joy was working in teen and children's ministries such as Sunday School and vacation Bible school. She also loved her hobbies of painting, crafts and baking cakes.

Sadie loved her family dearly and each one brought her great joy. She is remembered as a sweet, beautiful person inside and out, who was loved by her family and friends.

Sadie is survived by her children, Jerry (Sharon) Stith, Sue (Tom) Hall; grandchildren, Tina (Dan) Newcomb, Jeffrey (Stephanie) Stith, Dayna Hall, Kevin Hall and Laura (Aaron) Kruszka; great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Dylan and Brandon Newcomb, William, Nicky, Angel and Emily Stith, Landon, Gavin and Karson Kruszka; brother, Roy Willbanks; sisters, Mae Cooper, Fame Michaels and Nell Brown; sister-in-laws, Donna Stith, Dorothy Willbanks, Joyce Willbanks and Nan Willbanks. As well as many nieces and nephews.

Sadie was preceded in death by her son, Robert; husband, Raymond; grandson, Jimmy; brothers, James, William, and Myrl; and sisters, Irene and Georgia.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, July 26, at Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary, 1625 N. High St., Lakeport.

A reception will follow the service.

The family prefers donations in Sadie's memory be made to the American Heart and Stroke Association, 1710 Gilbreth Road, Burlingame, CA 94010-1795.
