Lee Ann White (12/17/49 – 07/18/13)

Lee Ann White was born to Jim and Betty White on Dec. 17, 1949, in Columbia, MO.

Her family moved to Modesto, Calif., and then San Rafael, Calif., eventually moving to Portland, Ore., for her high school and college years.

She graduated from Sunset High School in 1968 and attended Linfield College for a year before moving back to California, where she always felt most at home. Lee Ann had earned her nursing degree and had worked in hospitals and with in-home patients.

Lee Ann was passionate, honest, generous and devoted. She adored her exotic birds and little Pomeranian, Betty Lou. She gave special gifts to those she loved and never expected anything back.

Lee Ann leaves her father, Jim; sisters Laura and Keren (Portland, Ore.); and brother Bret (Seattle). She also leaves five nieces and nephews. Her mother, Betty, died in 2006.

Lee Ann died on July 18, 2013, in Lakeport, Calif., as a result of a head-on crash caused by another driver.

We are grateful for the rescuers who tried to save her and know that she wasn’t alone as she passed away.

We are indebted to her friends in Hidden Valley Lake, Calif., who were so helpful with taking care of her home, pets and belongings. Special thank you to both Deb and Lena.

Lee Ann’s memorial service will be determined at a later date.
