LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Tamara Lisa Newby ascended quietly and swiftly to her heavenly home on March 31, 2019, at the age of 54.

Known to her infinite number of friends by countless nicknames, Tamara brought many smiles and great support to those who knew her. Her personality and caring, giving heart were larger than this life could contain.

A supporter of the Relay for Life events, Special Olympics and Operation Tango Mike earned her friends from all over the state.

Tamara loved poetry and photography; reruns of “Colombo,” “Quincy,” “Magnum PI,” “Gunsmoke” and “Bonanza”; karaoke and tacos; camping and European travel; golf; her Packers, Saints and Cubs; movies, tacos and most especially music with Engelbert Humperdinck leading the tunes.

Tamara’s easy nature made her fast, deep and lifelong friendships. There were few she did not like and fewer still who did not like her.

She arrived in heaven to the long-awaiting arms of her parents, Claude and Margo Newby, and her brother, Timothy, as well as her grandparents Ernest and Lisa Roder and her Gram Eunice Plumlee, and far too many friends who also left this Earth too soon and far too young. Now she is with those angels and watches and guides those she has left here on Earth.

She leaves in deep sadness her brother, Tab Newby; nephews, Justin and Patrick and their families; her aunt and uncle, Gary and Darla Lewis; her cousins, Stacie, Tim and Timothy Drain; and more friends than we could ever begin to count.

No service dates have been set as the world right now is cold and the rain continues to fall and she hated that. But our family knows the sun will shine again soon, the flowers will bloom and the weather will clear and each day become warmer.

Social media and her friend network will announce a forthcoming day we will gather together to celebrate Tamara's life.

Until then her family wishes to thank everyone who have reached out to us in support and love. Continue to love each other, to laugh, to sing and to remember until we are all together soon to share our stories.

God bless and be with you all.
