LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – Arleen J. Chapman was born April 15, 1940, in Chico, Calif. Arleen went to join her husband, George, and daughter, Janel, in heaven on Jan. 13, 2018, after battling cancer.
Arleen is survived by her daughter, Michele Chapman; son, Wayne Chapman (and wife, Lisa); and grandchildren, Danielle Chapman, Nicole Wells, Samantha Chapman and Brianna Chapman; along with her many “adopted” daughters.
Arleen and George Chapman moved to Lakeport in 1959.
Arleen has always been involved in volunteer work in the community. When her children were small, she served a “room mother” at the schools. She worked on the election board for many years. She volunteered for more than 40 years in Community Services for Lakeport Seventh-day Adventist Church. Arleen always felt called to a life of service.
A memorial service will be held at Lakeport Seventh-day Adventist Church on Saturday, Feb. 10, at 3 p.m.
There will be a celebration of Arleen’s life at her house following the service.
