NORTHERN CALIFORNIA – Wallis Jennings Wellman died peacefully in Ukiah on Dec. 27, 2017, at the age of 88.

Wally enlisted in US Navy, and was stationed on Guam. He served on the USS Charra during the Korean War.

In 1963, he and his family relocated to Santa Rosa after State Farm moved the new regional office there. Wally was promoted to shift supervisor. He developed long lasting relationships with his coworkers at the “Farm.” Wally continued his career with State Farm for 31 years, until it was time to pursue a second career.
Wally became a Realtor in 1984 where he worked as an agent for Frank Howard Allen in Santa Rosa. He later became their office manager. He was able to transfer his supervisory skills from State Farm to his real estate venture.

In 1989, Wally, and his wife, Jan, relocated to Cobb. He joined the firm of Noble Realty. He spent approximately 15 years showing properties in Lake County. He was a active member and past president of the Lake County Board of Realtors.
