LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Historic Courthouse Museum will hold the fourth and final installment in a series of historic readings on Saturday, Nov. 17.
The reading takes place in the upstairs courtroom and begins at 2 p.m.
This month Museum Curator Linda Lake will read chapters four and five, “Rustlers and Road Agents” and “Good Times and Bad,” respectively, from the book, “The Life and Death of a Quicksilver Mine” by Helen Rocca Goss.
Her father, Andrew Rocca, was the superintendent of the Great Western Mine for almost 25 years and had several encounters with the infamous outlaw, Buck English.
There is no admission charge and refreshments will be served.
