Local roadwork to result in road closures

LAKE COUNTY – Road work planned for the week of May 18 through May 22 will result in some closures around the county, according to a report from the Lake County Department of Public Works.

On May 19, Fifth Street and Ninth Street in Lucerne will be closed to through traffic between Highway 20 and Country Club Drive between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. for road surfacing.

Residents in these areas will be allowed access to and from their homes by accessing roads off of Country Club Drive. Through traffic is advised to use alternative routes. Signs and barriers will be in place to alert the traveling public.

From May 20 through May 22, Main Street in Kelseyville, between Gunn and Second streets, will be subject to single lane traffic control with periods of temporary closures to all traffic.

The closures will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for construction of pavement rehabilitation and accessibility improvements.

Signs will be in place to alert the traveling public of the need to use alternative routes during those periods of full closure.

Public Works urges drivers to use caution when traveling in the area, and thanks the public for their patience and understanding regarding the delays.

For more information call the Department of Public Works at 707-263-2341.
