Caltrans plans major roadwork through Aug. 24

NORTH‌‌ ‌‌COAST, ‌‌ ‌‌Calif. — Caltrans‌‌ ‌‌reports‌‌ ‌‌that‌‌ ‌‌the‌‌ ‌‌following‌‌ ‌‌road‌‌ ‌‌projects‌‌ ‌‌will‌‌ ‌‌be‌‌ ‌‌taking‌‌ ‌‌place‌‌ ‌‌‌around‌‌ ‌‌the‌‌ ‌‌North‌‌ ‌‌Coast‌‌ ‌‌during‌‌ ‌‌the‌‌ ‌‌coming‌‌ ‌‌week. ‌‌ ‌‌‌ ‌

Included‌‌ ‌‌are‌‌ ‌‌Mendocino‌‌ ‌‌County‌‌ ‌‌projects‌‌ ‌‌that‌‌ ‌‌may‌‌ ‌‌impact‌‌ ‌‌Lake‌‌ ‌‌County‌‌ ‌‌commuters, as well as work in Del Norte and Humboldt counties.

Caltrans‌‌ ‌‌advises‌‌ ‌‌motorists‌‌ ‌‌to‌‌ ‌‌drive‌‌ ‌‌with‌‌ ‌‌caution‌‌ ‌‌when‌‌ ‌‌approaching‌‌ ‌‌work‌‌ ‌‌areas‌‌ ‌‌and‌‌ ‌‌to‌‌ ‌‌be‌‌ ‌‌‌prepared‌‌ ‌‌to‌‌ ‌‌stop‌‌ ‌‌at‌‌ ‌‌traffic‌‌ ‌‌control‌‌ ‌‌stations. ‌‌ ‌‌‌ ‌

The‌‌ ‌‌Caltrans‌‌ ‌‌Traffic‌‌ ‌‌Operations‌‌ ‌‌Office‌‌ ‌‌has‌‌ ‌‌reviewed‌‌ ‌‌each‌‌ ‌‌project‌‌ ‌‌and‌‌ ‌‌determined‌‌ ‌‌that‌‌ ‌‌individual‌‌ ‌‌‌project‌‌ ‌‌delays‌‌ ‌‌are‌‌ ‌‌expected‌‌ ‌‌to‌‌ ‌‌be‌‌ ‌‌less‌‌ ‌‌than‌‌ ‌‌the‌‌ ‌‌statewide‌‌ ‌‌policy‌‌ ‌‌maximum‌‌ ‌‌of‌‌ ‌‌30‌‌ ‌‌minutes‌‌ ‌‌unless‌‌ ‌‌‌noted‌‌ ‌‌otherwise. ‌‌ ‌‌‌ ‌‌‌ ‌

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

— Tree work west of Upper Lake at Mid Lake Road will occur on Monday, Aug. 21. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays. LC#C20BA

— Tree work will occur in Nice from Lucerne Cutoff Road to Manzanita Road on Friday, Aug. 18. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays. LC#C20BA

— Utility work in Lucerne from Sixth Street to Ninth Street will occur on Thursday, Aug. 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays. LC#C20BA

Highway 29

— Utility work will occur south of Middletown from Mirabel Road to Western Mine Road on Tuesday, Aug. 22, and Wednesday, August 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and motorists should expect up to five-minute delays. LC#C29DA

— Paving work at Road 281 will begin on Monday, Aug. 21. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays. LC#M29AA

Highway 175

— Utility work will occur from Private Road to the Cal Fire Kelsey-Cobb Fire Station Friday, Aug. 18. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays. LC#C175AA

— Bridge work in Cobb at Bottle Rock Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays. LC#C175RA

— Tree work in Cobb from High Road to Private Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays. LC#C175AA

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

— Utility work from north of Navarro Point Preserve to Navarro Ridge Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists can expect up to five-minute delays. LC#P1KA

— Bridge work in Fort Bragg from Manzanita Street to Pudding Creek Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect and motorists from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. can expect up to 20-minute delays Monday through Friday and 30-minute delays are anticipated on the weekends. LC#C1OB

— Road work from south of Abalobadiah Creek to north of Abalobadiah Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#P1LA

— Tree work near Hales Grove at Road 8132 will occur on Wednesday, Aug. 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays. LC#P1AA

Highway 20

— Tree work west of Three Chop Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays. LC#C20BA

— Road work in Willits at the Broaddus Creek Bridge will occur on Wednesday, Aug. 23, and Thursday, Aug. 24. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C20HA

— Utility work east of Redwood Valley near Marina Drive will occur on Tuesday, August 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays. LC#P20BA

— Road work near Potter Valley Road at the Cold Creek Bridge will begin on Wednesday, Aug. 23. Lane Closures will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns. A full on ramp closure will also be in effect. LC#C20HA

Highway 101

— Road work from Comminsky Station Road to the Pieta Creek Bridge continues. Lane closures will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns. LC#C101KC

— Road work in Hopland at Feliz Creek will begin on Sunday, Aug. 20. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C101WD

— Bridge work in Ukiah at the South Ukiah Overhead will begin Sunday, Aug. 20. Lane Closures will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns in the area. LC#C101WD

— Bridge work in Redwood Valley at the Forsythe Creek Bridge will begin Tuesday, Aug. 22. Lane Closures will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. and motorists should expect minor slowdowns in the area. LC#C101WD

— Road work south of Willits from Route 20 to Uva Drive in Redwood Valley will continue. Lane closures will be in effect and motorists should expect minor slowdowns. LC#M101Q

— Emergency work in Willits from Water Plant Road to the East Hill Undercrossing continues. Lane closures will be in effect and motorists should expect minor slowdowns in the area. LC#C101ND

— Culvert work north of Laytonville at Road 307 will begin on Wednesday, Aug. 23. Lane closures will be in effect and motorists should expect minor slowdowns in the area. LC#C101ED

— Culvert work from Rattlesnake Summit to north of Spyrock Road continues. Lane closures will be in effect and motorists should expect minor slowdowns in the area. LC#C101ED

— Culvert work in Piercy north of Exit 627 continues. Lane closures will be in effect from 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 10-minute delays. LC#C101ED

— Bridge work from the Lowell Allen Memorial Bridge to Route 271 continues. Lane closures will be in effect and motorists can expect minor slowdowns in the area. LC#C101JD

— Emergency work between Piercy and Benbow near Milkyway Loop Road continues. One-way traffic control is in effect and motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#T101IA

Highway 128

— Utility work will occur near Yorkville at Big Oaks Drive on Monday, Aug. 21. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should expect up to 5-minute delays. LC#C128BA

Highway 162

— Road work south of Dos Rios near the Rodeo Creek Bridge continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should expect up to 10-minute delays. LC#C162IA

— Emergency work west of Laytonville Dos Rios Road continues. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 12 a.m. weeknights. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays. LC#T162BA

Highway 253

— Tree work will occur west of Long Valley Ranch Road to east of Knittleville Lane on Tuesday, Aug. 22, and Wednesday, Aug. 23. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays. LC#C253AA

— Utility work from Stipp Lane to east of Park Creek Lane will occur on Tuesday, Aug. 22. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Motorists should expect up to five-minute delays. LC#C253AA

Highway 271

— Road work in Piercy continues. A full lane closure is in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should use an alternative route. LC#C271IA

DEL NORTE COUNTY

Highway 101

— Bridge work between Peine Road and Old Hunter Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate up to 10-minute delays. LC#C101KB

— Construction in the Last Chance Grade area will continue. Additional emergency storm cleanup work is also in progress. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate a total of up to 30-minute delays. LC#C101ID, and C101OC

— Emergency work south of Crescent City from Hamilton Road to Humboldt Road will continue. Southbound lane closures will be in effect and motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101EB

— Bridge work between Kings Valley Road and Fred D Haight Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect and motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C101WA

Highway 199

— Due to fire activity, there is a full closure north of Gasquet between Pioneer Road and Oregon Mountain Road. Motorists should choose an alternate route. LC#T199CA

— Due to fire activity, the Collier Tunnel Rest Area is closed. LC#T199CA

HUMBOLDT COUNTY

Highway 36

— Bridge work from Pamplin Grove to Redwood House Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C36UA

— Bridge work at Little Larabee Creek will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C36UA

Highway 96

— Emergency work near Sugar Bowl Ranch Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 5:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. Motorists should anticipate up to 15-minute delays. LC#C96MA

— Construction work near Bluff Creek Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C96LA

— Bridge work at Aiken Creek Bridge and Bluff Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays. LC#C96KA

— Electrical work from Pearch Creek Bridge to Siskiyou County Line will occur on Saturday, Aug. 19. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 5-minute delays. LC#P96BA

Highway 101

— Construction work north of Salmon Creek Road will begin on Tuesday, Aug. 22. Lane closures will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101TD

— Bridge work at South Fork Eel River Bridge will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns. LC#C101CF

— Bridge work at Route 254 will occur on Monday, Aug. 21. A full southbound off ramp closure will be in effect. Motorists should choose an alternate route. LC#C101ZC
