Caltrans plans major roadwork through March 11

NORTH‌ ‌COAST,‌ ‌Calif.‌ ‌–‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌reports‌ ‌that‌ ‌the‌ ‌following‌ ‌road‌ ‌projects‌ ‌will‌ ‌be‌ ‌taking‌ ‌place‌ ‌around‌ ‌the‌ ‌North‌ ‌Coast‌ ‌during‌ ‌the‌ ‌coming‌ ‌week.‌ ‌

Included‌ ‌are‌ ‌Mendocino‌ ‌County‌ ‌projects‌ ‌that‌ ‌may‌ ‌impact‌ ‌Lake‌ ‌County‌ ‌commuters.‌ ‌

Caltrans‌ ‌advises‌ ‌motorists‌ ‌to‌ ‌drive‌ ‌with‌ ‌caution‌ ‌when‌ ‌approaching‌ ‌work‌ ‌areas‌ ‌and‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌prepared‌ ‌to‌ ‌stop‌ ‌at‌ ‌traffic‌ ‌control‌ ‌stations.‌ ‌

The‌ ‌Caltrans‌ ‌Traffic‌ ‌Operations‌ ‌Office‌ ‌has‌ ‌reviewed‌ ‌each‌ ‌project‌ ‌and‌ ‌determined‌ ‌that‌ ‌individual‌ ‌project‌ ‌delays‌ ‌are‌ ‌expected‌ ‌to‌ ‌be‌ ‌less‌ ‌than‌ ‌the‌ ‌statewide‌ ‌policy‌ ‌maximum‌ ‌of‌ ‌30‌ ‌minutes‌ ‌unless‌ ‌noted‌ ‌otherwise.‌ ‌ ‌

LAKE‌ ‌COUNTY‌ ‌

Highway‌ ‌29

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work on Shady Grove Road on Friday, March 5. A full closure will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Hill Avenue to Wardlaw Street beginning Tuesday, March 9. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Highway construction from Route 281 to Private Drive will begin on Thursday, March 4. One-way traffic control will be in effect overnight from 8 p.m. to 7 a.m. and continue on Friday, March 5, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Kelsey Creek on Wednesday, March 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Sign work from Road 526 to Route 271 will begin on Wednesday, March 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Signal Port Creek Road to Iverson Road on Friday, March 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Grinding and paving operations from Iverson Avenue to Lake Street in Point Arena will occur on Friday, March 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Mill Creek to Private Road on Friday, March 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Shoulder work from Hardy Creek to Cottoneva Creek will occur on Friday, March 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Slide removal two miles west of Three Chop Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Emergency work from Uva Drive to Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. Lane closures will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minutes delays.

– Emergency work from North Willits Railroad Crossing to Big Trails Drive will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minutes delays.

– Emergency work from 0.15 miles north of Road 310B to Shimmins-Long Valley Creek 10 99 will begin on Friday, March 5. Lane closures will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Moss Cove Safety Rest Area will be closed through Fall 2021.

– Sign work from Long Valley Creek 10 99 to Ten Mile Creek will begin on Wednesday, March 10. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Ten Mile Creek to Big Trails Drive will begin on Monday, March 8. Lane closures will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work from Road 307 to Bell Springs and Road 324 will begin on Monday, March 8. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Sign work from Ten Mile Creek to Bell Springs and Road 324 will occur.

– Emergency work from Rattlesnake Summit to Bell Springs & Road 324 will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists can anticipate 20-minute delays.

– Empire Camp Safety Rest Area will be closed through Fall 2021.

Highway 128

– Sign work from Route 1 to West Limits Philo will occur on Friday, March 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Sign work from West Limits Philo to Sonoma County Line will begin on Monday, March 1. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Sign work from Route 1 to the Sonoma County line will begin on Monday, March 8. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Sign work from West Limits Philo to the Sonoma County line will occur on Friday, March 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 162

– Sign work from Road 8158 to Short Creek will occur on Friday, March 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Sign work from Dooley Creek to Private Road will occur on Friday, March 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 253

– Sign work from Route 128 (Boonville) to Stipp Lane will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 271

– Sign work from Route 101 - Cummings to South Fork Eel River will occur on Friday, March 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.
