COBB, Calif. – Cal Fire, the South Lake County Fire District and the Cobb Area Council will host a community emergency preparedness event on Saturday, April 14.

The Cobb Safe event will take place from from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cobb Elementary School, 15895 Highway 175.

There will be updates from county and state representatives, learn how to make a safety plan in case of earthquakes, fires or other emergencies, and sign up for the South Lake Fire Safe Council Chipping Program, which has been reinstated with help from Calpine.

Refreshments and snacks will be available.
