Caltrans plans major roadwork through Feb. 8

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around Lake County and the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Guardrail work at Lake Mendocino Park East Entrance will occur on Friday, Feb. 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– AT & T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Oak Grove Ave and High Valley Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 2. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 29

– Construction at Lake Boulevard Overcrossing began on Thursday, Feb. 1. Full closure of the southbound offramp will be in effect from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. weekdays. Motorists should seek an alternate route.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– Emergency slide repairs at 1 mile South Mill Bank Resort will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 24 hours a day. Motorist should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Routine Maintenance at James Creek Bridge to Three Chop Road will begin on Monday, Feb. 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

– Guardrail work at Lake Mendocino Park East Entrance will occur on Friday, Feb. 2. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Motorists should anticipate 15-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Slide repairs from Commisky Station Road to the Pieta Creek Bridge will continue. Northbound traffic will be reduced to one lane 24 hours a day. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Routine maintenance near Frog Woman Rock will continue. Northbound traffic will be restricted to one lane 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

– Emergency wildfire repairs at Ridgewood Ranch Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 24 hours a day weekdays. Motorist should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Utility Work at .50 miles south of Dora Creek Bridge will occur on Tuesday, Feb. 6, and Wednesday, Feb. 7. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. both days. Motorist should anticipate 15-minute delays.

– Emergency slide repairs at Piercy will continue. Lane restrictions will be in effect 24 hours a day. Motorist should minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 162

– Wall work at The Middle Way will continue. One-way traffic control with a temporary stop signs will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency storm damage repairs at various locations from 1.7 miles east of Buckman Drive to the Lake/Mendocino County line will continue. One-way traffic control with a temporary traffic signal will be in effect 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 271

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for tree work from Grizzley Creek Culvert to Cedar Creek Bridge on Monday, Feb. 5. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
