LAKEPORT, Calif. – The Lake County Disaster Council will hold its first meeting of 2018 on Thursday, Jan. 18.

The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. in the Board of Supervisors chambers on the first floor of the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes St. in Lakeport.

Topics on the agenda include an update on the status of agency approvals on the emergency operations plan ahead of its submission to the Board of Supervisors; emergency situation reports from the cities of Lakeport and Clearlake, and on the Sulphur fire; an Office of Emergency Services report; emergency operations center status; and hazard mitigation plan update.

There also will be committee reports and updates on grant programs for fiscal years 2016, 2017 and 2018.

Under old business, there will be updates on Clayton fire and flood recovery.

The public is invited to attend.
