MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – Middletown Rotary is having its 26th annual “Small Town, Big Heart Gala” at Twin Pine Casino on Saturday, Jan. 20.
This yearly event raises money that the club uses for many local and international projects.
Middletown Rotary gives Middletown High School Seniors scholarships yearly. The club began a reading program at Minnie Cannon Elementary school this year as well as a local grants project of putting Friendship Benches in each of our MUSD Elementary schools.
These benches, along with a hands-on presentation, teaches students how to be an inclusive, friendly community and not leave anyone out of play during recess.
Middletown Rotary continues to give all third graders in the school district dictionaries.
The big project this year is helping Hope City build a house for a senior couple who lost their home in the Valley fire.
The gala event this year has a lively silent auction, live auction and delicious dinner.
Tickets are $60 per person and doors open at 4 p.m. This event sells out every year so purchase your tickets as soon as possible.
For tickets visit Koontz Dezigns, 18155 Vintage Court, telephone 707-703-9154, or contact our fundraising chair Kathey Crothers at 707-355-0393.
Middletown Rotary has had the opportunity to help the community after the Valley fire and continues to do so through LARCA.
