Free 'Clean Slate' legal clinics planned for low-income residents

NORTH COAST, Calif. – On Friday, March 7, and Saturday, March 8, OneJustice’s Justice Bus Project will partner with Legal Services of Northern California (LSNC) and the Lake County Bar Association to provide two free legal clinics to residents of Mendocino and Lake Counties wanting help with criminal record clearance (expungements of certain criminal convictions).

The two clinics will be held in Ukiah and Kelseyville. The March 7 clinic will be held in Ukiah at the offices of Legal Services of Northern California at 421 N. Oak St. from 1:30 to 5:30 p.m.

The March 8 clinic will be held in Kelseyville at the United Methodist Church, located at 3810 Main St., from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Participants can meet with law students and attorneys to get assistance with or information about cleaning up criminal records that may be creating barriers to employment.

Appointments are strongly encouraged. You should call to find out what documents to bring.
