UPPER LAKE, Calif. – Charlotte Ambrose, the recovery coordinator for the North-Central California Coast Domain of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, will be the guest speaker at the Oct. 12 Lake County Land Trust annual dinner.
Ambrose, a resident of Hidden Valley Lake, will give a power point presentation on “Our Federal Endangered Species Act: Action is Eloquence.”
Ambrose has been working for several years on a recovery plan for four threatened or endangered salmon species in the North-Central California Coast area and will share her knowledge and experience of the Federal Endangered Species Act, which will be of particular interest to many Lake County residents given the recent concerns about Clear Lake’s native Hitch population.
The annual Lake County Land Trust dinner will be held at The Lodge at Blue Lakes.
The public is welcome to attend this fun evening and support the land trust in its efforts to protect Lake County’s most important natural areas.
The event starts at 5 p.m. with live entertainment by the Konocti Junction band.
