CLEARLAKE, Calif. – The county's cable access station on Monday issued an apology for disruptions in recent live broadcasts of meetings, citing equipment problems.
TV8, the Public, Education and Government – or PEG – station said it apologized for the disruptions that occurred during recent live broadcasts of the Clearlake City Council meetings.
During the council's discussion on Thursday, Aug. 8, several portions of the meeting were notably missing, with the meeting at one point during a key discussion switching to the community bulletin board, and then later abruptly ending before the meeting had concluded.
“Due to poor equipment failure, there have been spurts of disconnection,” according to a statement released by PEG Board member Jo Bennett. “We have taken steps to remedy this problem and provide clear, complete coverage in the future. We wish to thank the public for their patience and understanding.”
