NORTH COAST, Calif. – American Red Cross has announced changes in the regional leadership team.

Frank Lucier, executive director, has retired from the Napa County Chapter of the American Red Cross. Anne Steinhauer has joined the Napa Chapter as Lucier’s successor.

Jennifer Jones has been hired as the regional disaster services director, with a territory that includes Napa, Sonoma, Mendocino, Lake, Humboldt and Del Norte counties.

Lucier retires from the American Red Cross after serving as executive director of the Napa County Chapter since 2008.

He continues as a consultant in business continuity, emergency and crisis management with his company North American Emergency Management.

Anne Steinhauer, a native of Napa County, previously served Napa Valley Vintners as community relations manager.

Her work has also included positions with the National Democratic Institute, Littorai Wines & Beringer Blass Wine Estates and Congressman Mike Thompson.

She’s managed budgets from $70,000 to $50 million, implemented training programs in Croatia, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine and Romania, and created partnerships with elected officials and community leaders.

Steinhauer holds a master’s degree from the Monterey Institute of International Studies and a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Santa Cruz.

Jennifer Jones, born and raised in Northern California, first volunteered with the Sonoma County chapter in 2004.

Since then, she has served as either Red Cross employee or volunteer in both Northern and Southern California, North Carolina and national headquarters.

While in Washington D.C., she headed up the Red Cross nationwide roll-out of the Client Assistance Card and Client Assistance System, enabling Red Cross services to be provided to clients.

She’s been a disaster services chair and disaster action team captain. Prior to the American Red Cross, Jones was a K-12 educator, served in the Marine Corps (when she used Red Cross services as a member of the Armed Forces), and was a Red Cross disaster client.

American Red Cross is a neutral, humanitarian organization that provides relief to victims of disasters, and prepares people to prevent and respond to emergencies.

Like all Red Cross chapters, the local chapter is self-sustaining and is funded by local contributions. All assistance to disaster victims and to members of the armed forces provided by the Red Cross is free and made possible by voluntary donations of time and money by the American people. Donations can be made at www.arcsm.org , www.napacountyredcross.org , www.redcross.org , via mail to American Red Cross, 5297 Aero Drive, Santa Rosa, CA 95403, or by phone at 707-577-7627 or 800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767).
