The free program will be presented beginning at 2 p.m. at the Lake County Library’s Lakeport branch at 1425 N. High St.
Archaeologist Dr. John Parker will introduce “A Walk Through Time” in which Koi Nation members and local archaeologists and historians tell the history of the Anderson Marsh area where humans have lived for about 14,000 years.
Dino Beltran, the Koi tribal administrator and treasurer, also produced and narrated the film.
Beltran, accompanied by other members of the production team, accepted the Emmy in the Historic/Cultural-Program/Special category at the ceremonies in San Francisco.
Anderson Marsh State Historic Park includes some of California’s richest ancient archaeological sites, the Anderson family’s 19th century ranch house, a nature preserve, and hiking and boating trails. The park is located in Lower Lake at the junction of Highway 53 and Anderson Ranch Parkway.
