LAKE COUNTY, Calif. – More storms are on the horizon for the rest of the month, with rain expected in Lake County over the next few days.
The National Weather Service in Sacramento said the precipitation outlook for Northern California over the next few weeks shows periods of unsettled weather continuing into late April.
Initial forecasts are showing rain and wind through much of the week, with the possibility of a rainy Easter.
Over the next few days, the National Weather Service said the Nor Cal Water Year precipitation record also could be broken, thanks both to the rain expected around the region and the snow forecast for higher elevations, particularly the Sierras.
Lake County’s specific forecast calls for chances of rain and winds with gust of up to 20 miles per hour on Wednesday, and a total of about one-third of an inch of rain.
Rain also is expected on Thursday, with conditions expected to clear for Friday and Saturday, based on the forecast.
Forecasters said there is a possibility of rain again on Easter Sunday and continuing through Tuesday.
Daytime temperatures are expected to range from the low 50s during the rain to the high 50s when conditions clear. Nighttime temperatures could dip into the low 40s.
