Jan. 30 workshop looks at Windows 10

MIDDLETOWN, Calif. – Lake County Websites & Computer Repair in Middletown will have a computer workshop on Saturday, Jan. 30, “Windows 10 Revisited.”

The workshop will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at 15642 Armstrong St. in Middletown in the Jazzercise Center (two blocks behind the post office).

In this workshop, you will learn how to:

– Navigate in Windows 10: Get to the programs and features you need, learn the new Web browser, make use of the new apps, use Cortana and more.

– Change settings in Windows 10: Change the appearance, install programs and apps, set your default programs, set up your backup, change the new browser settings, set up your security, and also, how to go back to Win 7 or Win 8 if you are not happy with the new Windows 10.

The presenter, Mark Rudiger, also will discuss some of the issues he has seen from customers who have installed the Windows 10 upgrade.

Rudiger is the owner of Lake County Websites & Computer Repair in downtown Middletown and has more than 20 years of experience installing, trouble-shooting, and working with computers.

During the course of his daily work as a computer repair tech and website designer, he has been repeatedly asked to offer this kind of workshop.

He has now dedicated a complete website just for Computer Training at www.markrudiger.com .

If you have a laptop, you may bring it along and connect to the high-speed Internet. However, your own computer is not necessary. Rudiger’s laptop screen will be projected on a 120-inch screen.

The workshop has a $15 admission fee. You may sign up at www.markrudiger.com/workshop .

There are only 25 spots available so register soon to avoid missing out.
