LAKEPORT, Calif. – This week the Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing to consider final approval for a property purchase by the Lake County Air Quality Management District.
The board will meet beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the board chambers on the first floor of the Lake County Courthouse, 255 N. Forbes St., Lakeport. At 10 a.m. the board will hold the hearing, continued from Oct. 14, sitting as the Air Quality Management District Board of Directors.
The supervisors will first consider a purchase agreement for the property, located at 2617 S. Main Street in Lakeport, and then adopt a resolution accepting conveyance of the property and authorizing the county administrative officer, in coordination with the air pollution control officer, to execute the necessary documents.
Deputy Administrative Officer Alan Flora's report on the discussion explains that on Sept. 23 the board approved the Air Quality Management District's option to purchase the property and appropriated funding for the purchase.
In other business for Tuesday, at 9:15 a.m. Superintendent of Schools Wally Holbrook will present the 2013-14 annual report for the Upper Lake HUB; at 9:45 a.m. the board will consider a resolution supporting the permanent protection of the Berryessa-Snow Mountain Region; and at 9:50 a.m., the Lake County Library Advisory Board will present its annual report.
