Caltrans plans major roadwork through Feb. 14

NORTH COAST, Calif. – Caltrans reports that the following road projects will be taking place around the North Coast during the coming week.

Included are Mendocino County projects that may impact Lake County commuters.

LAKE COUNTY

Highway 20

– Drainage work from Mendocino County Line to Witter Springs Road will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Drainage work from 4 miles east of Mathews Road to Mathews Road will occur Tuesday, Feb. 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 a.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

MENDOCINO COUNTY

Highway 1

– AT&T has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Elm Street to Mill Creek Drive will end Friday, Feb. 8. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG&E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Airport Road to occur on Thursday, Feb. 14. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– Emergency work at Blue Slide Gulch will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 20

– Emergency work from Road 262 to Lake County line will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 101

– Emergency work from Robinson Overcrossing to Route 253 will continue. Lane closures will be in effect. Motorists should anticipate minor traffic slowdowns.

Highway 162

– PG & E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work from Outlet Creek Bridge to Corral Creek Bridge to occur on Tuesday, Feb. 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

– PG & E has been granted a Caltrans Encroachment Permit for utility work at Road 337K to occur on Tuesday, Feb. 12. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists should anticipate five-minute delays.

Highway 175

– Emergency work at Lake County Line will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect 24 hours a day. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

Highway 271

– Bridge work at McCoy Creek Bridge will continue. One-way traffic control will be in effect from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. weekdays. Motorists should anticipate 10-minute delays.

The Caltrans Traffic Operations Office has reviewed each project and determined that individual project delays are expected to be less than the statewide policy maximum of 30 minutes, unless noted otherwise above.
