Freeborn promoted to lieutenant colonel

DAYTON, Ohio – Andrew B. Freeborn has been promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Air Force.


Freeborn, a test pilot, is currently a doctor of philosophy student at the Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio. The lieutenant colonel has served in the military for 15 years.


He is the son of Richard and Kathryn Freeborn of Clearlake.


In 1987, Freeborn graduated from Lower Lake High School and received a bachelor's degree in 1992 from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.


Freeborn earned a master's degree in 2000 from Auburn University, Ala.
