KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The Easter service at the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County will begin at 11 a.m. March 27 at the church, located at 3810 Main St. in Kelseyville.

Guests are encouraged and welcome to attend.

The service will be led by Rev. Carrie Knowles and is entitled, “Easter: Love, Death, Grief and Hope.”

“The celebration of Easter is a story full of darkness and light. It commemorates a cruel and unjust death, grief and the yearning for immortality. It comes as the earth turns towards spring, a time of hope, new growth and new beginnings,” Rev. Knowles said.

Using wit and wisdom, Rev. Knowles will share her insights into the Easter story.

Rev. Knowles is an ordained Unitarian Universalist minister who lived for many years in Lake County. She now resides in the Bay Area.

Unitarian Universalism affirms that inspiration and meaning may be found in many sources, including the natural world, personal experience, history and religious tradition.
