Unitarian service on Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. planned Jan. 17

KELSEYVILLE, Calif. – The service at the Unitarian Universalist Community of Lake County this Sunday, Jan. 17, will look at the many issues of concern expressed by the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

The service begins at 11 a.m. at the church, located at 3810 Main St. in Kelseyville.

Guests are always welcome.

Guest Minister Jay Atkinson will present a sermon entitled, “Love, Sin and Dr. King.”

He will look at how Dr. King’s concerns expanded beyond racism and civil rights to include militarism, economic injustice, and other social and structural issues, and discuss how we can strive to live with hope and moral integrity in today’s world.

Rev. Atkinson is a retired Unitarian Universalist minister who spent 32 years serving churches around the country.
