Community center groundbreaking is Thursday

CLEARLAKE OAKS – Following years of planning, Clearlake Oaks Community United Methodist Church will celebrate a groundbreaking for its new community center this week.

 

The Rev. Dr. Rick Schlosser, the church's senior pastor, reported that the church has received the final permit for its new Thornton-Canady Community Center to be built on The Plaza next to the church's preschool.


Work has just started, but the church is planning to hold an "official" groundbreaking ceremony at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20.


Schlosser said the community is invited to come celebrate and join them for the festivities.
