LAKEPORT – Uganda is plagued by a terrorist known as Joseph Kony. Since the late 1980s Kony has abducted more than 30,000 Ugandan children who have come to be called "Invisible Children."

Uganda, the United States, the United Nations and many other nations have worked to end Kony's campaign of violence but the biggest difference in the battle has been made by youth, by California youth.

To learn more about this remarkable story and how you can help, come to United Christian Parish on Sunday, Aug. 30, at 10 a.m.

The UCP Youth Group has planned a worship service to tell the story of these "Invisible Children" and to collect a special offering for them.

Youth can make a difference and they are doing every day! Come be a part of a movement for peace.

UCP is located at 745 N. Brush St. in Lakeport.
