Mendocino baseball team members move on in athletics

UKIAH – All nine sophomores from last season’s Mendocino College baseball team will continue their academic and athletic careers this season.


Pitchers Jared Dellinger (Kelseyville), Chris Mills (Cloverdale) and Justin Bautista (Danville) will be pitching at Division I Mississippi Valley State.


Infielder Dwight Raudio (Fort Bragg) is a recruited/walk-on for Division II Sonoma State University, while Lucas Peters (Fort Bragg) will be pitching at Division II San Francisco State University.


Travis Mather (Willits) will be playing infield for Division II Upper Iowa University and outfielder Tucker Mesker (Corning) will be playing at NAIA Simpson College.


Catcher Justin Malec (Rohnert Park) will be attending Sonoma State University as a student.


“I am extremely proud of these guys for their accomplishments as students and athletes,” Head Baseball Coach Matt Gordon said.


“All of these guys were in our program a full two years and worked very hard to get to the next level. I look forward to following their future progress on the field as well as academically as they work toward graduation,” Gordon added.
