5:45 a.m. Traffic collision with ambulance responding on Highway 29 just north of Highway 175/Cobb. Solo vehicle involved.


9:22 a.m. Disabled milk tanker on the side of Highway 20 at mile marker 36.


1 p.m. Traffic collision with no injuries on westbound Highway 20. Gray minivan clipped a dark-colored minivan and then hit the guard rail.


1:53 p.m. Person changing a tire in the center divider on northbound Highway 29 just south of Park Way.


5 p.m. Vehicle being pushed out of the roadway at Kit's Corner.

 

 

Wednesday, Aug. 29


10:35 a.m. Traffic collision with major injuries on Highway 20 near Bruner Drive in Glenhaven.


12:23 p.m. Rocks in the roadway on westbound Highway 20 just east of the Lake County line.


3:37 p.m. Elderly male who is overheated and taking a break on the side of the road with his bike at Lucerne's west edge. No medical aid needed.


8:27 p.m. Traffic collision with no injuries just south of 3783 Lakeshore at Park Way in Lakeport.

 

Tuesday, Aug. 28


11:30 a.m. Report of a fire to the northeast of Lower Lake. Caller reports seeing smoking “building rapidly,” possibly in area of Morgan Valley Road. Cal Fire reported a five-acre in the morning along Clayton Creek Road.


5:06 p.m. Big rig too big for the roadway causing a hazard on the Hopland Grade, five miles west of Lakeport. The truck is jack-knifed and blocking both lanes of the road on the Lake County side.


6:16 p.m. Traffic collision with no injuries at 2872 Spring Valley Road and Nectarine. A tire hit the caller's home.


6:32 p.m. Solo vehicle into the Upper Lake Cemetery fence on Clover Valley Road at Second Street. Caller reports driver was speeding prior to going into the hillside next to the cemetery.

 

Monday, Aug. 27


3:48 p.m. Large pine tree blocking both lanes of Riviera West at Buckingham in Kelseyville.


7:27 p.m. Traffic collision with no injuries on Sulphur Bank Road seven miles south of Highway 20, Clearlake Oaks.

5:44 p.m. Traffic collision with no injuries on westbound Highway 20 at Scotts Valley Road.


6:03 p.m. Black and white cow loose on Highway 20 just east of Witter Springs.


8:43 p.m. Head-on collision, car versus pickup, near Diener Drive on Highway 29. One fatality.

 

Saturday, Aug. 25


2:19 p.m. Traffic collision with no injuries on Soda Bay Road just west of Riviera West Drive.


2:52 p.m. Blue car backing down the traffic lane on northbound Highway 29 at the Glasgow Grade. Male subject in the road doing traffic control.


4:15 p.m. Traffic collision with minor injuries on Finley Road East at Stone Drive in Finley.

 

Friday, Aug. 24


6:14 a.m. Horses running southbound along Highway 29 just south of Lower Lake.


10:01 a.m. Dog reported running in the southbound lane of Highway 53 at Anderson Ranch. CHP officer on scene says the only dog he found was a stuffed dog.


1:56 p.m. Hay in the roadway on Highway 29 just south of 11th Street, Lakeport.


6:11 p.m. Traffic collision involving a blue Toyota versus a gray Suzuki on Highway 29 at Highway 53. No injuries reported.


7:11 p.m. Large tree branch blocking on lane of Gaddy Lane just south of Loasa.


8:20 p.m. Large piece of lumber on Highway 20 just east of Highway 29.

8:57 p.m. Hatchback partially blocking the lane on westbound Highway 20 one mile just west of Walker Ridge Road.

7:43 a.m. Brown and white cow in the middle of Highway 20 between Witter Springs and Bachelor Valley Road.


3:41 a.m. Traffic collision with minor injuries on Sulphur Creek Road at Harrington Flat Road, Cobb. Solo male occupant of the vehicle reportedly bleeding.

11:50 a.m. Disabled vehicle on eastbound Highway 20 at La Trianon Resort near Blue Lakes.


4:33 p.m. Six to seven kids on skateboards on Konocti Road at Main Street, Kelseyville.

 

Monday, Aug. 20


9:44 a.m. Two-vehicle traffic collision with no injuries on Highway 29 approximately 100 yards south of Hill Road, Lakeport. Gray 2005 Escalade versus a Pontiac.


4:24 p.m. Traffic collision with no injuries at Highways 29 at 53.

 

Sunday, Aug. 19


12:44 p.m. Traffic collision with no injuries in front of 6750 Buckeye Ave. at Soda Bay Road, Kelseyville.


6:17 p.m. Traffic collision with minor injuries reported when subject taken to Sutter Lakeside; crash happened earlier along Bartlett Springs Road.


6:23 p.m. Traffic collision with ambulance responding on westbound Highway 20 just east of Blue Lakes. No further information available.

 

Saturday, Aug. 18


8:57 a.m. – Deer hit and has broken legs on westbound Highway 20 entering Clearlake Oaks. Men are on scene and taking the deer with them – they are not the ones who hit it.


5:38 p.m. – Dalmatian dog running on Highway 29 between Hill Road and 11th. Animal Control called.


7:37 p.m. – Traffic collision with no injuries on Highway 29 at Highland Springs Road.


9:08 p.m. – Vehicle off the roadway and into a ditch on the Nice-Lucerne Cutoff. Call reports that the driver is in car smoking and appears uninjured.


10:28 p.m. – Roadway at Point Lakeview at Sunrise is partially blocked for a traffic collision with no injuries.

 

Friday, Aug. 17


6:29 a.m. Delivery truck swerved off the road and into a power pole on Highway 29 north of Highway 53 near Lower Lake. Driver sustained major injuries. The roadway was partially closed for four hours while PG&E crews repaired lines and installed a new power pole.


11:18 a.m. Pear truck versus a car at Highway 29 at Kit's Corner. Car pulled out in front of truck; juvenile passenger in car transported to hospital.


1:03 p.m. Traffic collision with no injuries on Elk Mountain Road. Two vehicles and one motorcycle involved.


1:31 p.m. Traffic collision with no injuries on westbound Highway 20 a mile post marker 26-26.


1:31 p.m. Two dogs, similar to labs, in the road on Highway 29 between Hill Road and Renfro.


2:34 p.m. Traffic collision with no injuries on Highway 20 just west of Bartlett Springs. Three vehicles involved, including one CHP vehicle which was hit while trying to pass cars on the way to a call.


5:09 p.m. Traffic collision with no injuries on eastbound Highway 20 at Pyle Road, Nice. Gray truck versus a light blue sedan.


7:02 p.m. Vehicle fire on westbound Highway 20 at Walker Ridge Road. Believed to be near the Lake/Colusa County lines. Caller reported that the fire started under the vehicle and the driver was using a fire extinguisher to put out the fire, which has spread to under the hood.


7:17 p.m. Motorhome stalled in the northbound lane of Highway 29 at Dry Creek Road.


8:50 p.m. Dog hit by a car in the roadway at 6447 16th Ave., Lucerne.


10 p.m. Second-hand report of a solo vehicle traffic collision with no injuries on Point Lakeview between Jago Bay and the quarry.


10:23 p.m. Vehicle versus a large white dog on eastbound Highway 20 in front of the Harbor Bar.


10:29 p.m. Traffic collision with no injuries reported, but no details given about location or what occurred.

2:41 p.m. Traffic collision with minor injuries at 21122 Steward St. at Highway 175.


3:18 p.m. Debris on Highway 29 just north of Spruce Grove Road.


4:10 p.m. Oil on Highway 29 at Napa/Lake County lines.


4:19 p.m. Vehicle on fire on eastbound Highway 20 just east of Highway 53.


8:02 p.m. Two-vehicle traffic collision with no injuries at 160 E. Highway 20.
