Applications still available for community scholarships

LAKE COUNTY – Four $500 scholarships are available to Mendocino Community College students who are currently enrolled in school.


The minimum requirements for application are that students must be a Lake County resident, have accumulated at least six hours at Mendocino College, have a 3.0 grade point average or above and are currently enrolled at the school.


Previous applicants through the Mendocino College financial aid department are encouraged to apply.

 

The application may be found on the Kiwanis Website, www.kiwanislakeport.org , and sent to the scholarship committee at the address listed on the Web site.


The cutoff date for application is Aug. 7, in time for evaluation, selection and use when the new school year begins August 17.

 

This $2,000 offering is in addition to the $3,700 already pledged to several graduating high school seniors in Lake County this spring.
