With a new week we have new students. We would like to welcome Kelli Babb, Aleshia Barnard, Destinee Flores, Dominique Lozada, Emily Owen, Elizabeth Cornell, and Stefani Conner. We hope you all will enjoy your stay at Carlé High.

We would also like to congratulate the student of week who is Brooke Robb. Brooke, along with Geneva Hudson, does all of our recycling for the school. In addition she is heavily involved in community service and is an excellent student. Keep up the good work.

Carlé High has been very involved with helping the community this past month. On Feb. 13 the Lower Lake Action Group's cioppino feed was a success. At the dinner, everyone was served shrimp salad, pasta marinated in cioppino sauce and the cioppino, which was made of shrimp, crab and clams cooked up by the very generous Steve Leveroni. Sounds very tasty.

Also big help was Carlé's stream team last week on Tuesday, Feb. 17. On that date they went back to Snows Lake Vineyard to evaluate pH levels. Students last week were also asked to film for TV 8. They filmed the important news about new houses being built near Dam Road in Clear Lake. We would like to thank Allen Markowski who gave us the opportunity to film and Josh Borba, Alex Meek and Paul Silsby who filmed the event.

With events passing, more events shall come. Student council will be holding their next meeting on March 6. There they will discuss prom issues and new ideas for our Carlé spirit week. Student Council will be open-minded to any ideas offered, so please come to tell us yours.

There also will be a school site council meeting on Feb. 26 for anyone willing to come.

Last but not least, Wyo Tech will be coming to Carlé High School. Yes you read that right. On Feb. 25 Wyo Tech will be showing. If you have any more questions you can ask Verna Rogers for more information.

Thank you from Carlé High School, and we wish you another joyful week.

Amanda Tchamourian is a student at Carlé High School in Lower Lake.
