HIDDEN VALLEY LAKE – Hidden Valley Lake resident Susanne La Faver was honored recently in San Francisco for her 11 years of teaching at Golden Gate University (GGU).
La Faver teaches public relations to graduate business students. Her course was put on GGU’s CyberCampus when she moved to Lake County six years ago.
“I tell everyone how lucky I am to live in Lake County and teach online,” smiled La Faver. “Other instructors are so envious.”
Forty-two percent of GGU students are enrolled in CyberCampus, which offers online courses for students to earn full degrees and/or professional certificates, update their skills, or accelerate the completion of degree programs without the inconvenience and expense of commuting to class.
Founded in 1901 in San Francisco, GGU meets the needs of working adults by offering undergraduate and graduate programs in business and management, information technology, taxation, and law. Courses are designed to engage students in real-world business situations and to prepare them to compete in a volatile marketplace.
