Bob Cartwright passed away on Jan. 9, 2023. He was 85 years old.

Bob was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania in 1937. His family moved to Orange County, California, and at age 18 Bob enlisted into the U.S. Navy in October 1955.

He served on the USS Hornet and the USS Yorktown. During a shore leave in San Francisco Bob met his soon-to-be wife Louise Morrison.

In 1957 they married in Upper Lake, California, where they lived and raised a family of three.

Bob worked 37 years at Masonite Corp. in Ukiah and after he retired Bob and Louise spent their summers fishing and traveling.

Bob also had a passion for restoring old tractors, and if you have been to the Kelseyville Pear Festival or Wild West Day in Upper Lake you probably watched Bob on one of his tractors in the parade.

Bob is survived by his sister, Sue Crawley, and his three children, Gina Gibson of Phoenix, Arizona, Jim Cartwright of Santa Rosa, California, and Brenda Moran of Hidden Valley Lake, California.

He is also survived by two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a niece and nephew.

Bob will be interred in the family block next to Louise at the Upper Lake cemetery.
