LAKEPORT, Calif. — John Woods, 73, passed away unexpectedly on June 3, 2022, in Lakeport.

John is survived by his loving wife, BJ Woods; son, Doug Woods; daughter, Jerrica Shippee (Woods); niece, Michelle Lynn; sister, Bonnie Mitchell; two nephews; one niece; as well as six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

John lived in Lake County for over 40 years and spent his career working for Safeway.

After retirement John spent his free time working in his yard, enjoying time with his grandkids and relaxing with BJ.

Over the years John enjoyed many fishing trips to Hat Creek with his friends.

A friend of many, John spent his time giving back to his community and helping his friends and family in any way he could.

We will miss his smiling face, his sarcasm and the joy he brought when he walked into a room.

Care entrusted to Chapel of the Lakes Mortuary FD1336, www.chapeklofthelakes.com, Lakeport, 707-263-0357.
